“Oh! that program doesn’t exist anymore, or they’re out of money, or those programs really don’t work, it’s very very very difficult to qualify and you don’t want to be bothered with the process because they don’t give you the money after all your efforts.”
Or “you don’t want to buy using them, sellers won’t want to work with you.”
Then there were the sincere but very ignorant realtors who say this “I frankly don’t know anything about the program. I’ve been doing this a long time and I’ve never had one person actually use it and get a home so I really don’t see the sense of doing it.”
Don’t believe the hype from these salacious misfits. Beware of the dark side of San Diego realtors, mortgage brokers, and investors who will go to any length to prevent you from using the San Diego first time homebuyer downpayment assistance program through the San Diego housing commission. You absolutely must work with a Realtor and mortgage broker that cares about you as a person and your home purchase the way you do.
